Q: Should I refuse acceptance of damaged items?

In most cases, do not refuse the entire shipment solely because one or more items appear damaged. Instead, inspect the shipment carefully and document all visible damage before signing the carrier's Bill of Lading (BOL) or delivery receipt. Clearly note damaged cartons, cabinets, panels, or other products on the BOL or delivery receipt. Use specific descriptions such as "Box Damage / Product Damage" and identify the affected items whenever possible. Take photographs of the damaged packaging and products, including both wide-angle and close-up views. Keep all packaging and damaged materials until the claim has been resolved. If the shipment is severely damaged, appears unsafe to unload, or the carrier advises you to refuse all or part of the delivery, contact The RTA Shop as soon as possible for guidance. Important: Signing for a shipment without noting visible damage may make a freight claim more difficult or prevent the claim from being approved.

Possibly, but cancellation or change requests must be made as soon as possible.

Once an order has been submitted to the manufacturer or distributor, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible. If a cancellation or change is approved, manufacturer, processing, restocking, freight, or other applicable fees may apply.

Factory-assembled, modified, special-order, and other made-to-order products may become non-cancellable once production or processing has begun.

Please contact The RTA Shop immediately if you need to request a change or cancellation. We will check the order status with the applicable manufacturer or distributor and let you know what options are available.

Yes, local pickup may be available depending on the cabinet manufacturer, fulfillment location, and your delivery address.

Our checkout system automatically determines whether pickup is available based on your location. Pickup is generally offered only when the delivery address is within approximately 100 miles of an applicable distributor or fulfillment center.

If pickup is available for your order, you will see it as a shipping option during checkout. Availability can vary by manufacturer, product line, and fulfillment location.

My cabinets went on sale after I ordered. Can I get the new price?

Promotional pricing, discounts, and sale prices generally apply only to orders placed during the applicable promotional period and are not retroactive.

Once an order has been placed and confirmed, the price is based on the pricing, promotions, and discounts in effect at that time. Later price reductions, manufacturer promotions, coupon offers, or sale events generally cannot be applied to previously placed orders.

Manufacturer and distributor warranty policies may differ by region and product line. If you are unsure which warranty applies to a particular cabinet line, please contact us before ordering.

When will my order ship?

Shipping and production times vary by manufacturer, product line, order size, inventory availability, and whether the cabinets are RTA, factory-assembled, in stock, or special order.

Some in-stock RTA cabinet orders may ship within a few business days. Special-order door styles, factory-assembled cabinets, modified products, backordered items, and other made-to-order products may require several weeks or longer depending on the manufacturer.

For example, certain manufacturers offer both stocked cabinet styles and special-order finishes with substantially different lead times. Any estimated lead time shown on the applicable product page or provided with your quote should be used as the current estimate for that product.

Estimated ship dates are based on information available when your order is confirmed and remain subject to manufacturer inventory, production schedules, payment status, order approval, and carrier availability.

Once tracking or delivery information becomes available, The RTA Shop will provide it to you. Estimated ship and delivery dates are not guaranteed and may change due to circumstances outside our control.
