Policies, Terms & Resources

Review The RTA Shop’s ordering, delivery, claims, return, installation,
and product policies, along with manufacturer warranties, catalogs,
specifications, and other resources.

The RTA Shop Terms & Conditions

The following general terms apply to orders placed with The RTA Shop.
Because our products are sourced from multiple manufacturers and distributors,
manufacturer-specific policies may impose additional or more restrictive
requirements for a particular product or order.

1. Order Accuracy & Confirmation

  • Customers are responsible for reviewing and verifying all products,
quantities, cabinet sizes, door styles, finishes, modifications,
accessories, shipping information, and other order details before
    approving an order.
  • Orders will not be processed until required payment and/or written
    order confirmation is received.
  • Once an order has been submitted to the manufacturer or distributor,
changes or cancellations may not be possible. Any approved change or
cancellation may be subject to manufacturer, processing, restocking,
freight, handling, or other applicable fees.
  • Scheduling, estimated ship dates, delivery dates, and product availability
are based on information available when the order is confirmed and remain
subject to manufacturer inventory, production schedules, backorders,
    and availability.

2. Measurements, Designs & Product Selection

  • The RTA Shop is not responsible for incorrect measurements, cabinet sizes,
product selections, appliance information, or other information supplied
    or approved by the customer.
  • Customers and/or their installers are responsible for verifying field
dimensions, site conditions, appliance specifications, cabinet dimensions,
clearances, and final product selections before cabinetry is ordered or installed.
  • Drawings, renderings, plans, cabinet layouts, and design documents are
planning tools. The customer is responsible for reviewing and approving
the final itemized cabinet order before purchase.
  • Customers should verify that all required cabinets, panels, fillers,
moldings, trim, accessories, and other components have been included
    before approving an order.

3. Delivery & Customer Receiving Responsibilities

  • Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, deliveries are curbside
or tailgate delivery only, depending on the manufacturer, distributor,
    carrier, and delivery method.
  • Drivers and freight carriers are not responsible for carrying cabinets
or other products into a residence, garage, building, jobsite,
    or other structure.
  • Customers are responsible for having sufficient personnel available
to receive, unload, and move products from the delivery point as
required by the applicable delivery method.
  • At delivery, the customer must inspect the shipment and verify the number
of pallets, cartons, loose pieces, and other items against the Bill of
Lading (BOL), packing slip, or delivery receipt before signing.
  • Delivery dates, estimated ship dates, and transit times are estimates
and may be affected by manufacturer production schedules, inventory,
backorders, freight carriers, weather, traffic, or other circumstances
    outside The RTA Shop’s control.
  • Once a delivery has been scheduled or loaded for shipment,
customer-requested changes to the delivery date, delivery address,
receiving arrangements, or other delivery instructions may result in
manufacturer, carrier, handling, redelivery, storage, rehandling,
or other applicable charges. Any such charges may be passed through
    to the customer.
  • Customers are responsible for being available to receive scheduled
deliveries. Missed, refused, postponed, or rescheduled deliveries
    may result in additional charges.

4. Freight Damage, Shortages & Claims

  • Customers must inspect all shipments carefully at the time of delivery.
Visible damage, shortages, or discrepancies must be clearly noted on
the carrier’s BOL or delivery receipt before signing.
  • Use specific notations such as
“Box Damage / Product Damage” or
“Missing Item” and identify affected or missing items
    whenever possible.
  • Photograph visible damage before removing packaging whenever practical.
  • Keep all packaging, cartons, labels, damaged products, and related
materials until the claim has been reviewed and resolved.
  • Concealed damage discovered after delivery should be photographed
before assembly, installation, modification, cutting, drilling,
    or other alteration.
  • Claims for missing, damaged, defective, or incorrect products must be
submitted to The RTA Shop within
15 calendar days of receiving the goods,
together with photographs and any other documentation reasonably
    required to process the claim.
  • Customers should inspect products promptly after delivery.

Leaving products boxed or unopened does not extend the applicable
    claim period.
  • Failure to document visible freight damage or shortages on the delivery
receipt may prevent a freight or manufacturer claim from being approved.
  • Replacement products, credits, or other remedies are subject to review
and approval by the applicable manufacturer, distributor, freight carrier,
    or other responsible party.

5. Returns, Exchanges & Final-Sale Products

  • Return eligibility varies by manufacturer, distributor, product type,
    and condition.
  • A request for return of an otherwise eligible product must be submitted
    to The RTA Shop within
    15 calendar days of delivery
and requires prior written authorization from The RTA Shop.
  • The 15-day return-request period applies only to products that are
otherwise eligible for return. It does not create a right to return
products that are final sale, non-returnable, modified, assembled,
installed, damaged, or excluded under a manufacturer-specific policy.
  • Eligible unassembled/RTA cabinets must be unused, unassembled,
unmodified, uninstalled, undamaged, in their original factory packaging,
    and in resalable condition.
  • Approved returns are subject to a
    35% restocking fee
unless a different manufacturer-specific fee applies.
  • Customers are responsible for all return transportation, freight,
shipping, handling, and associated costs unless otherwise agreed
to in writing by The RTA Shop.

  • Factory-assembled, pre-assembled, and assembled-to-order cabinets
and products are final sale and are not eligible for return,
    exchange, or refund.
  • Products with custom or factory modifications, special-order products,
and products manufactured or modified to customer specifications
    are final sale and non-returnable.
  • Moldings, trim, toe kicks, fillers, panels, skins, and similar accessory
or finishing components may be non-returnable depending on the
    manufacturer or distributor.
  • Sample door orders are final sale and non-refundable.
  • An otherwise return-eligible product becomes non-returnable once it
has been assembled, installed, modified, cut, drilled, damaged,
altered, or otherwise changed from its original factory condition.
  • All returns remain subject to the applicable manufacturer or distributor
policy. If the manufacturer or distributor does not authorize or accept
a return, The RTA Shop is not obligated to accept the return or issue
    a refund.
  • No product may be returned without prior authorization from The RTA Shop.

6. Assembly & Installation

  • All assembled cabinet orders must be paid in full prior to assembly
    or production.
  • Customers and their installers are responsible for proper assembly,
handling, installation, appliance cutouts, field modifications,
leveling, fastening, and verification of site conditions.
  • Products must be inspected for damage, defects, accuracy, dimensions,
finish, and suitability before assembly, modification, or installation.
  • Installation should not proceed with any product that appears damaged,
defective, incorrect, or unsuitable until the issue has been reviewed.
  • The RTA Shop is not responsible for labor, installation, removal,
    reinstallation, modification, contractor, subcontractor, scheduling,
or other incidental costs associated with damaged, defective,
    incorrect, delayed, or replacement products.

7. Wood, Finish & Product Variations

  • Wood is a natural material. Variations in grain, color, texture,
mineral streaks, knots, and appearance are normal characteristics
and are not necessarily product defects.
  • Painted and stained finishes may exhibit reasonable variations between
    individual components.
  • Natural wood and finished products may change over time due to lighting,
humidity, temperature, environmental exposure, and normal aging.
  • Painted cabinetry may exhibit normal expansion, contraction,
hairline finish separation, or visible joint movement as environmental
    conditions change.
  • Materials may differ between door styles, finishes, cabinet boxes,
drawer fronts, panels, and other components.

8. Panels & Oversized Components

  • 96" panels:
The RTA Shop guarantees up to 90 inches of usable length due to
the possibility of end damage during transit.
  • 48" panels:
The RTA Shop guarantees up to 42 inches of usable width due to
the possibility of edge damage during transit.
  • Oversized panels, moldings, and trim pieces are especially susceptible
to freight or handling damage and should be inspected carefully at delivery.

9. Manufacturer Policies

  • Products sold by The RTA Shop are sourced from multiple manufacturers
    and distributors.
  • Manufacturer-specific policies concerning cancellations, changes,
returns, modifications, warranties, claims, restocking fees,
delivery, damage, special-order products, and non-returnable products
    may also apply.
  • Manufacturer and distributor policies may differ from one another
and may change from time to time.
  • Where a manufacturer or distributor does not accept the return or
    cancellation of a factory-assembled, modified, special-order, trim,
accessory, or other non-returnable product, The RTA Shop is not obligated
to accept the return or provide a refund.
  • Where a manufacturer or distributor requires specific documentation,
photographs, labels, packaging, delivery notations, or other information
to process a claim, customers are responsible for providing the requested
    information promptly.
  • Manufacturer warranties are subject to the terms, limitations,
exclusions, and procedures established by the applicable manufacturer.

10. Policy Priority & Changes

  • These Terms & Conditions establish The RTA Shop’s general sales policies.
  • Manufacturer- or distributor-specific policies may impose additional
or more restrictive requirements for a particular product or order.
  • In the event a manufacturer or distributor has a more restrictive policy
concerning returns, cancellations, modifications, claims, warranties,
or product eligibility, the applicable manufacturer or distributor
    policy may control.
  • The RTA Shop reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions
for future orders as manufacturer policies, shipping procedures,
product offerings, or business practices change.
